Little gifts for a Big Brother!

While we are away from Caleb in the hospital with Anna Grace, Jeff and I put together some fun gifts. Everyday he will get a note from us with a little gift. Things that we know he will love and will make him feel special!

Day One... We bought him Frozen and his favorite yogurt melts. Caleb has only seen this movie twice but loved it and laughs whenever the snowman comes on. These yogurt melts are like candy to him. Win win!

Day Two... This kid is all about his cars, so naturally we got him some Hot Wheels.

Day Three... What kid does not love chalk and play dough.

His Big Brother gift from Anna Grace... I am not sure what day he will be coming to the hospital but when he does he is getting a fun little toy from his sister. He loves all of the little people toys so we got him the play ground set and a book about being a big brother.

I know Caleb will have a great time with whoever is going to have him, but I want to make sure it is just a little more special!

The Hospital Bag - Part One

We have two bags for our stay at the hospital when we have Anna Grace, the Labor Bag and the Hospital Bag. When we had Caleb I brought one large suitcase with everything we would need for the stay. All of the hospital staff joked with me that I brought everything under the sun for my stay here. So this time we are bringing everything in the car but only bringing the Labor Bag in with us. Then after Anna Grace has made her entrance into the world we will bring up the other bag.
1/2/3/4/5

Yes we have a bunch of Vera Bradley... Jeff does the marketing for them, so they spoil us with goodies!
1) We have everything packed in the Weekender. It is the perfect size to put everything in.
2) My cosmetic bag. I am not going to lie to you. With Caleb my midwife said they where going to get me ready to start pushing, and I put a little bit of make up on. I was not blessed with that perfect skin and glow, and I want the first pictures to look good! After pushing for 2 1/2 hours it didn't look like I had anything on, but will do it again just in case Anna wants to be nicer to her momma!
3) My favorite blanket. This is so soft and smells like home. That will relax me to have that.
4) The most important thing to pack. Our CBR package to give our midwife. This is something that Jeff and I feel strongly about doing when you have a baby. Maybe after Anna Grace comes I will right a post about why.
5) The cutest hospital beanie I have every seen! I was excited when I ordered this, and screamed when it came in the mail! Told my handsome hubby that she can now come!

Some other items I packed was socks for me, a jacket for both of us, snacks for Jeff and me (for afterwards), white paper for the hand and foot prints and the paper work we need after she comes. I love having these things organized so if we go into labor then Jeff knows exactly what to grab.

Ok sweet Anna Grace, we are ready to meet you!!!

Baby Shower Recap

I know I am way overdue for the recap of my shower. My momma has the professional photo's that where taken, and I was hoping to show y'all those, but clearly I keep forgetting when I am at my parents house to get them. So we will make due with the photo's from my iphone.

The shower was everything and more I could have ever asked for. My momma has ALWAYS thrown gorgeous parties and puts so much detail into the tiniest thing. The entire day I just felt how much our little Anna Grace was loved! My wishes where granted with no tacky baby shower games. I was able to mingle with everyone, eat yummy food, and relax. I had also asked my momma to not have as big as a shower this time. So I capped her at 30 people. I loved that it was so much smaller (Caleb's had over 75 people!). It was not easy for her (or even me) but wouldn't change it. At Caleb's I felt rushed and was not able to talk to everyone. I love talking with people, and was sad that I couldn't personally say thank you for coming and catch up with them.

Jeff had not chosen a name for the little ballerina at the time of the shower (my southern family was not happy... they love to monogram everything. As do I), everything was labeled sweet baby gable.

My sis and I... her drink had something extra in it. Which I deeply miss!

How adorable is the ballerina skirt my momma had made for this. I call Anna Grace my little ballerina, so momma thought it would be cute to incorporate that in the theme! This will defiantly make an appearance at her first and every birthday!

I so wish I had more to show you! Maybe sometime in the next couple of weeks I will download those photos from my parents. But with the little pictures I do have you can just see how adorable and perfect that shower was!!! Everything was pink and gold, girly and totally ME! So thankful to all of my family and friends that came to love on Anna Grace.

2nd Birthday Wish List

1/2/3/4/5/6/7
I can't believe my baby boy is going to be 2, and pretty soon he will no longer be the baby! For Caleb's birthday wish list this year we defiantly have an outdoor theme! He LOVES it outdoors and it is where we spend most of our day. Thanks for daddy fencing in the back yard, all of our play dates revolve around the backyard.

Even though I will have a two week old, I can't stomach the idea of not having a party for Caleb (Yes, I know he wont remember). We are not having a huge party... Just 6 of his closes friends in the backyard playing in the little pools. All of my friends know that Anna Grace will be off in another room and I do not want her passed around. For Caleb's actual birthday, Jeff is taking the day off so we can go do something fun with him. I am thinking the Florida Aquarium (it is mostly in the AC!), but Jeff wants to take him to Great Explorations. Last year was the Zoo and man it was HOT out!

Does anyone have any other good ideas on what we can do for his birthday?

36 Weeks!

How far along? 36 Weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: 19 pounds (1 pound more then Caleb at full term)
Maternity clothes?  All maternity or very stretchy skirts.
Stretch marks?  As much as I tried to stop them, I have 4 now!
Sleep: Not great at all. I toss and turn a bunch. Always HOT!
Best moment this week:  We have just about everything ready to go. Caleb made his sissy a Lamb at Build a Bear for when he meets her at the hospital!
Miss Anything?  A cold beer! I say that because both of my brother in laws brew their own beer and everyone says it taste amazing. Plus going on the boat every weekend makes it hard not to want one. Boats and Beer kind of go together (or at least for me they do).
Movement:  Yes... this ballerina dances all the time!
Food cravings:   Not really at the moment.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  If I am overly tired then I start to get sick.
Gender:  It's a GIRL! Anna Grace!
Labor Signs:   Yes and No. This pregnancy is soooo different then with Calebs. I have had some contractions her and there.
Symptoms:   I feel like my pelvic bone is breaking, yoga helps a little.
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy and really nervous... How will Caleb handle the change? Will I be a good momma to two kids?
Looking forward to:  Ikea today to buy the final things for Anna's wall. Then we just need to hang everything this weekend and we are done!
