Christmas Day part 3

The Gable Christmas started late. We all wanted Jeff's sister and her family to be there to open gifts, and they live a few hours away. So around 7:30pm we had our Christmas. The kids go first... it is a tradition that my in laws had and it is one that still stays. Anna lasted for a hot minute before she went down for bed. Caleb was pretty tired from all of the excitement of the day and passed out halfway through in the middle of the floor holding a cookie and his new car. The last Christmas gift was opened at 12:30am... needless to say at this point of night all I wanted for Christmas was a pillow. But during our long time of opening gifts so much laughter was happening. Everything is turned into a joke and my cheeks hurt for all the smiling. I love my handsome hubby's family!

That was our Christmas 2014. Filled with so much love, laughter and gratitude.

Christmas Day part 2

Our next stop on Christmas day was at my parents home. We get together with daddy, momma, grams, lil sis and her boy friend. This year we had a fun twist on stockings. Instead of my daddy and momma buying them for us we did a secret stocking exchange. Jeff had my momma and made her a stocking with everything coffee. I had Bill and vent off the wall kookie with his. That was new for us and defiantly something that will now start as a new tradition. After gifts are opened we have our amazing traditional breakfast.
Egg and sausage casserole with fried apples and cinnamon rolls. Completely unhealthy but every bite is worth the thousands of calories!

After everyone had stuffed their face, my momma and I had the best moment together. We talked about just how truly blessed we are. That our family was all here, and Bill becoming a new member of our family. Love was present in that morning and I am so grateful for that.

Christmas Day part 1

Christmas morning started for us at 6:30 in the morning. Jeff gave Caleb a candy cane and you would have thought that was the best gift of all. I defiantly teared up a bunch at how excited Caleb was about EVERYTHING, he would even go to Anna and tell her everything that he was happy about and get her excited.

Caleb's first gift was hilarious. He unwrapped his present and see's a white box, with total excitement on his face goes, oooooh it's cool! That made me laugh so hard, that he had that much light about him for just that white box. Jeff and I looked at each other and new this was going to be a very fun morning.

Best friends in the making with my babies. Caleb went into his new tent from Santa and had to have his sister in it with him. Be still my heart!

I didn't want my morning to end. I am so very thankful for all of our family and that we get to see everyone on Christmas, but it was so sweet with just the four of us. I loved drinking coffee with my handsome hubby and seeing our babies play with all the new toys that they received. So blessed, so very very blessed!

Christmas Eve

I loved Christmas this year, it was probably one of my most favorite yet. Seeing everything through Caleb's eyes was wonderful. He had such excitement about everything... the tree, jesus, presents, family, and all the yummy sugary treats laying around.

I am going to be posting Christmas in four chapters. So much happened and I love all of the photos to much to leave anything out.

Our Christmas Eve started off with going to my parents house to see my grandparents and exchange our gifts. Caleb and Anna (ok.. all caleb) loved opening up their gifts. My grandparents sold their farm this year and I know this time of year was not easy on them. Seeing the grandbabies defiantly helped with making that transition better.

After doing Christmas with my grandparents we go to the place that makes it feel like Christmas to us. The Church that Jeff and I fell in love at, Pasadena Community Church. It is home for us, so many happy faces when we go and memories to look back on. My sister and I use to dance every year and singing with Mr. Fred. I could go on and on about what it feels like stepping back into that church. Sadly I missed a large part of the service because it was the same time that Anna goes down for sleep.

Church ended and we headed home to see the boat parade and watch a movie with Caleb. I love this time... Just our little family spending time together.
