Prefect Photos

My hubby has put all of our digital photos together in one area so I can organize them. I have finally made it to 2012 photos and found these precious ones that my sweet sister Aj took. She knew I wanted maternity pictures taken but after buying a house... dishing $400 for a session was not an option. So Aj studied different ideas on Pinterest and she took these with a ton more. But I would defiantly say these are my favorites.

I always forget how big my belly got when I was pregnant with Caleb, and I am so thankful that Aj captured these for me to cherish always!

Five on Friday

Linking up for Five on Friday today!

*ONE*
I bought this adorable No Soliciting sign from Vinyl Vineyard on etsy. Could not have been more excited to get this in the mail and put it up... I just did it backwards. Grrrr I was so adjudicated that I messed it up. So now I need to order another one, so I can have this pretty up.

*TWO*
My girlfriend introduced me to La Croix a couple of months ago... they are amazing and I love them.

*THREE*
Caleb is turning ONE next week. (please hold while I cry....) We are getting the last minute details ready for his party and his big surprise on his actual birthday!

*FOUR*
I had myself a momma's night out and went to Target. And yes that is what I am calling a night out! Bought myself a cute dress and the pretties scarf ever.

*FIVE*
If I had about $400 just laying around, I would love to get this beautiful. I think she belong with me and I would give her a very good home.

Take your kids to work

On June 28th, Jeff's company hosted take your kids to work day. They had a day full of story time, crafts and yummy food. One of the great things was Caleb was not the only baby and had many new friends to play with.

Jeff works with some incredible people. Ken rights children books and read them during story time to all the kids. Jessica had arts and crafts ready to do that actually went along with Ken's books. And Steve ordered us a delicious Italian lunch and dip and dots as our dessert. Nariza holds a very special place in my heart and has such a gift with children, she took Caleb most of the time and played with him while I talked and caught up with some people. Jeff's office (Tampa Office) is not that big; I believe 26 total, so they all get to know each other well and it is like a family!

Jeff had meetings most of the time we where there but whenever he was in between calls he would run out and play with Caleb. One time Caleb crawled after him and knocked on the door for him to get out. Thankfully Nariza knows how to distract him very well and we avoided a meltdown.

His office put so much work into this day. The kids all had name tags like their daddy's and mommy's do. Each kid was given a book bag with treats, a toddle company shirt, and coloring pages.

Next year should be even more fun for Caleb and he loves to see his daddy working hard to provide for us.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my amazing daddy's 55th birthday! I am so blessed that I can call Jim Schoenberger my father. He has been my biggest cheerleader growing up and my hero! I love you so much daddy and I hope you have an awesome day. Can't wait to celebrate it with you tomorrow.

10 years...

10 years ago today one of the most special people in my life went to heaven. My grandpa was an incredible man. He had so much love in his heart. I remember as a kid growing up in the Navy, when we would come to St. Pete to see family and getting so excited to hug him. He truly gave the best hugs!

When I was a kid Santa would send me a letter every year, I now know it was my grandpa who sent them. He would show his love in little ways like that... would stand outside his front door until our car was completely gone, and I would wave the entire way.  He ALWAYS said I Love You to my sister and I!

My favorite photo of my grandpa and me. His smile was the best!
My grandpa's favorite place to go was this land they had for deer hunting. So when he passed that is where they laid his ashes and planted a gorgeous oak tree. I was not able to 10 years ago, but in 2010 my parents took me to go see the land. Seeing grandpa's tree was one of the best feelings, I don't even know if I could explain it,but it felt like I was standing in my grandpas heaven. It was so peaceful, and the air was so crisp. One of the most breath taking places I have ever seen.

Caleb was born on his birthday. When the doctors told me I was due July 16th, I just looked at Jeff and said it is going to be the 18th. And what do you know... I was right! That was so special for my daddy and grandma to have Caleb born on his birthday.

Knowing that my grandpa is looking down on my family from heaven is so comforting. And when it is my time to go and see him, I can't wait for my hug! I love and miss you very much grandpa!!!!

little man's first haircut

On April 21st I finally caved and said yes to getting Caleb his first haircut. His bangs were to long and they kept going in his eyes. I tried to convince Jeff that we should leave the rat tale but he said no. The big thing we both agreed on was he should go to a Barber Shop! Southern boys don't go to the salon, they go to the barber. And when we starting thinking about which barber we figured might as well take him to the famous Tim's Barber Shop. If you live in St. Pete then you know what we are talking about. I would say about 60% of the cars here have the Tim's Barber Shop bumper sticker!

When we were leaving to go I was in almost tears! This was almost harder then his first shot for me. I think it was because he is getting so big. Emotionally I was not anticipating this till he was a little over a year.
Here we are sitting in Tim's Barber Shop waiting for Caleb's turn. They have it decorated pretty cool inside. It looks like a barber from the 1920's.

Caleb was all smiles with the Lady... yes I said lady. Tim's Barber Shop is so famous cause cute girls in tattoo's are cutting your hair. I was not totally aware of this, but having the lady was great. She knew how to have patience with the little man.

As long as Caleb has his ducky, than everything will be ok.
All done! I am so happy he did so well. I was completely expecting that he would kick and scream the entire time.
Ok in this picture with me holding him, his haircut looks like a weed whacker cut it, but I tried to part his hair so it made it look like that. I can't believe how big he is getting!

Jeff and I are all about making lists. There is thrill we get when you can cross something off and have that feeling of accomplishment. So naturally when we were talking about some of the fun things we wanted to do during the summer... I made a list. The "Summer Checklist" is all about stuff to do with the little man. Some of it will be with Jeff and others will be things that just Caleb and I do together.
